Living Boldly for the Lord Jesus — My Acts 4 Commitment
Introduction: I Will Not Be Silent
In Acts 4, I see boldness under pressure. I see faith that does not shrink back. I see people who choose obedience to the Lord Jesus even when threats rise around them. As I read this chapter, I make a personal decision today. I will not stay silent. I will not hide my faith. I will live boldly for the Lord Jesus in every place He sends me.
Even when opposition comes, I will stand firm. Even when I am misunderstood, I will not quit. Like Peter and John, I will speak what I have seen and heard in the Lord Jesus.
I Will Stand for Truth Under Pressure
The priests and leaders tried to silence the message. They were disturbed because the resurrection through the Lord Jesus was being preached. Yet Peter did not back down.
I choose the same courage today. I will stand for truth even when it is unpopular. I will not let fear control my voice. I will trust the Holy Spirit to give me words when I need them.
When I am questioned about my faith, I will respond with confidence, not confusion. I will declare that healing, hope, and salvation come only through the Lord Jesus.
I Will Declare the Name That Saves
Peter boldly declared that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. I take that truth into my own life.
I will not look for other sources of salvation. I will not rely on my own strength. I will not trust shifting opinions of the world.
Instead, I will anchor my life in the name of the Lord Jesus. I will believe that His name still heals, still restores, and still saves completely.
I Will Choose Obedience Over Fear
When the leaders commanded Peter and John to stop speaking, they replied that they must obey the Lord Jesus rather than men.
I make that same commitment. I will obey the Lord Jesus even when it costs me approval. I will choose obedience over comfort. I will choose faith over fear.
Even when pressure rises, I will keep speaking truth in love. I will not be silent about what the Lord Jesus has done in my life.
I Will Pray with Bold Expectation
The believers lifted their voices together and prayed. They asked for boldness, not safety. They asked for signs and wonders in the name of the Lord Jesus.
I will pray the same way. I will not pray small prayers. I will pray with expectation. I will ask the Lord Jesus to strengthen me with courage and power.
I believe that prayer changes atmospheres. I believe prayer brings shaking in spiritual places. So I will pray consistently and boldly.
I Will Live in Unity and Generosity
The believers were one heart and one soul. They shared what they had so no one lacked anything.
I will not live selfishly. I will live open-handed. I will care for others. I will share what the Lord Jesus has placed in my hands.
I will choose unity over division. I will choose love over pride. I will live in a way that reflects the early church.
I Will Be a Witness of Grace
Acts 4 says great grace was upon them all. That same grace is upon my life today.
I will be a witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus through my actions, words, and character. I will not just speak faith, I will live it.
Everywhere I go, I will carry grace. I will be a testimony that the Lord Jesus still transforms lives.
