A Call to the Wealthy: The Gospel Must Reach Every Creature
The Gospel Has No Exceptions
There are two men I feel compelled to speak to concerning the gospel of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. The first is Mr. Elon Musk, widely known as the richest man in the world. The second is the founder and owner of Amazon, a company whose reach extends into nearly every nation on earth.
The message I bring to them is not personal, political, or financial. It is eternal. Scripture declares that the gospel must be preached to every creature. It also declares that those who believe and are baptized shall be saved, and those who refuse to believe shall be condemned. These are the only two outcomes. There are no exceptions. There is no respect of persons. Wealth, influence, and power do not exempt anyone from the truth of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
A Responsibility That Matches Influence
To Mr. Musk, I say this with sincerity and hope: the platform you own, known as X, reaches millions across the globe in seconds. That reach is unprecedented in human history. It could be used to spread truth, hope, and salvation through the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
If that platform were used to promote a clear and faithful presentation of the gospel, it would be to your credit. Even if it takes time for you personally to understand the Lord Jesus fully, such an act would bring blessing. The Lord Jesus Christ richly blesses those who help make His truth known.
An Appeal to the Gatekeepers of Distribution
To the owner of Amazon, I make a humble appeal. My book, The Keys to the Kingdom, is already available on your platform. However, I do not have the financial resources to advertise it. This book was written so people everywhere might understand how to enter the kingdom of heaven.
With the reach and resources available to your company, it would be possible to donate one million copies of this book to people around the world. Such an act could place the gospel into the hands of the poor, the searching, and the forgotten. In addition, modest funding could establish a teaching channel that explains plainly the gospel that began on the Day of Pentecost and was established through the preaching of the Apostle Peter.
What Scripture Says to the Rich
The Scriptures speak clearly to those who are rich in material wealth. They warn of judgment against those who have withheld wages by fraud, lived in excessive pleasure, and ignored the cries of the oppressed. These warnings are not written out of hatred, but out of mercy.
At the same time, Scripture also promises blessing to those who repent, turn, and use their resources to help the poor and spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Mercy is still available. Grace is still extended. The opportunity to do good has not yet passed.
A Gospel for All People Everywhere
This gospel of the kingdom must be preached as a witness to all nations and to every creature. Only then will the end come. The Lord Jesus Christ desires that all people have an opportunity to hear, believe, and receive eternal life.
Be a blessing, and you will receive blessings of goodness from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. What is given for His kingdom is never lost. It is stored in heaven, where neither time nor decay can destroy it.
A Personal Urgency
I am eighty years old—the same age Moses was when he was called to deliver Israel out of Egypt. Age has not weakened this calling. If anything, it has intensified it. I feel compelled to cry out, not for myself, but for a drowning world.
The swimmer who is drowning does not whisper. He cries out for help. In the same way, I cry out to those who have the means to help relieve the burden of sin, wickedness, and ignorance that affects us all. The harvest is great, and the need is urgent.
