Hebrews 1: The Majesty of Christ and the Voice of God in Our Lives”

Share with a Friend

Did you hear what He said? Were you listening? Or are you like most of us who do not know how to discern the voice of God when He is talking to you? The prophet Samuel had the same issue when he was a child and Elie told him what to do when he heard God talking to him again.

The Lord Jesus said my sheep knows my voice and another they will not follow. But the airways are filled with many different voices which is causing great confusion. Regardless of this you and I must know the voice of God from the voices of confusion

Today on a prayer line meeting a friend requested prayer for the young people because a family member took an overdose of pills to kill herself. Fortunately, she was saved and treated. This shows that many individuals give up on life because they have lost hope.

How are you feeling right now? Are you overwhelmed by life’s chaos and unsure where to turn for clarity? In a world full of conflicting voices, finding the truth feels impossible. But what if I told you the ultimate voice has already spoken—powerfully and directly to us? Hebrews 1 unveils this transformative truth: God has spoken through His Son, Jesus Christ, and this revelation can change your life forever. Stick with me, and let’s dive deep into the radiant glory of Christ and the eternal message He brings.

As a Christian writer and speaker, I’ve spent years exploring how the Bible addresses our daily struggles. My goal today is to unpack Hebrews 1 in a way that’s both inspiring and relatable. Together, we’ll discover what it means to anchor our lives in the unchanging Word of God.

God’s Timeless Message: Then and Now

Hebrews 1:1 opens with a breathtaking reminder: God, throughout history, has always been speaking. He revealed Himself in various ways to the prophets of old, using visions, dreams, and divine encounters. This truth reminds us that God is neither silent nor distant.

But here’s the game-changer: Hebrews 1:2 tells us that in these last days, God has spoken to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. This isn’t just a prophetic word; it’s the ultimate revelation. Jesus embodies the fullness of God’s nature and purpose.

Jesus: The Radiance of God’s Glory

Verse 3 paints a vivid picture of Jesus:

“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person…”

Jesus isn’t just a messenger; He is the message. He reflects God’s glory perfectly and upholds all things by His powerful Word. Think about it: the same Jesus who purged our sins and sits at God’s right hand is actively sustaining your life right now.

When life feels shaky, remember that the one who holds the universe together also holds you in His hands.

The Superiority of Christ

Hebrews 1:4-9 emphasizes that Jesus is far greater than angels. Angels are powerful and awe-inspiring, but they are our ministering servants. Jesus, however, is the Son, the rightful heir of all things, and the King whose throne is eternal.

This distinction matters because it reminds us of who we worship. Jesus isn’t just a spiritual figure among many—He is the cornerstone of our faith, the Great God and Savior our heavenly Father who reigns forever, He is our living example that we should pattern our lives after. Jesus learned obedience through the things He endured and has now become the heir of our salvation and our inspiration. Therefore, what you are going through now will help you to be better and grow to be like him. Keep trusting in the Lord Jesus.

What This Means for You Today

God Has Spoken Directly to You: When you hear Jesus talking to you through His words You are listening to God talking because Jesus is the Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. You don’t need to search for meaning in temporary things. Jesus offers eternal truth and hope.

Anchor Yourself in His Unchanging Word: Life will always bring challenges, but God’s promises remain firm. Meditate on His Word daily to renew your perspective.

Remember Who Jesus Is: Worship Him not just as a Savior but as King. Let this truth fill your prayers with confidence and gratitude.
