Heavenly Father,
As the day draws to a close, I come before You in humble gratitude for Your guidance, protection, and provision. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want” (Psalm 23:1). Thank You for carrying me through this day, for Your grace that sustained me, and for the countless blessings I received—both seen and unseen.
Lord, I ask for Your forgiveness for any sins I may have committed today, whether in thought, word, or deed. Cleanse my heart, and renew a right spirit within me (Psalm 51:10). I lay down any burdens, worries, or anxieties at Your feet, for You have said, “Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
As I prepare for rest, I pray for Your peace to surround me. Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Calm any restless thoughts, and help me to trust fully in Your care. Just as Your Word says, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8).
I lift up my family to You tonight. Watch over them as they rest, and protect them from any harm or danger. Let Your angels encamp around them, for Your Word promises that, “He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:11).
Lord, I also ask that You renew my strength as I sleep. Let tomorrow be a new day filled with fresh opportunities and blessings. Grant me the wisdom to navigate the challenges ahead and to be a reflection of Your love to those around me.
Thank You for being my refuge and strength, my ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). I trust You with my life and the lives of my loved ones. As I sleep, may I rest in the knowledge that, “The Lord never slumbers nor sleeps” (Psalm 121:4) and that You are always watching over me.
