The Destructive Power of Evil Leadership
Evil leadership has always been dangerous. Moreover, it harms not just individuals but entire communities. Throughout history, when leaders choose rebellion over truth, the masses suffer the consequences. Therefore, understanding the roots and results of evil leadership is essential for anyone who desires truth, order, and spiritual freedom.
This problem did not begin in modern times. Instead, it began with rebellion itself.
The First Rebellion and Its Lasting Impact
Lucifer rebelled through pride and ambition. Furthermore, he held the impossible belief that he could be equal with the Lord Jesus. Because of this rebellion, he persuaded a third of the angels to follow him. Consequently, he was cast out and brought his destructive mindset to the earth.
The Lord Jesus later identified him clearly. He called him the father of lies. Because lies destroy trust, Lucifer became an instrument of division and ruin. Likewise, everyone who followed his path of rebellion suffered loss. This pattern still exists today.
Rebellion always looks appealing at first. However, it always ends in destruction.
False Ministers and the Pathway of Rebellion
In the same way, evil ministers follow that same rebellious pattern. They present themselves as true while quietly leading people away from apostolic truth. Even worse, they declare essential teachings to be non-essential. As a result, confusion replaces clarity.
The Lord Jesus and the apostles never left doctrine open to personal interpretation. Instead, they clearly established a pattern of teaching that does not harm but brings life. What the apostles taught was intentional, unified, and complete. Therefore, anything outside that pattern leads people away from truth rather than toward it.
False leaders often claim to be “old school” or “progressive,” yet their influence is destructive. The masses trust leaders. Consequently, when leaders rebel, the people follow.
Lessons From Moses and the Danger of Influence
Scripture gives us a sobering example. When certain leaders rebelled against Moses, their influence became deadly. As a result, the earth opened and swallowed them. This judgment was not random. Instead, it revealed how dangerous corrupt leadership can be.
Influence carries responsibility. When leaders mislead, many suffer. This truth has never changed. That is why scripture warns that people will gather teachers who tell them what they want to hear. Sadly, truth then becomes labeled as a fable.
Pride, Education, and the Loss of Simplicity
In our time, educated minds often reject simplicity. Moreover, pride and haughtiness cause many to resist clear scriptural instruction. One major example is the rejection of baptism for the remission of sins.
Instead of submission to scripture, many now promote personal interpretation. As a result, a free-for-all system of churches has emerged. Each group does what seems right in its own eyes. Consequently, confusion multiplies rapidly, and unity disappears.
This confusion is not small. In fact, it is immeasurable, and growing worse.
Returning to Apostolic Finality
Now is the time for individuals to return to scripture. Rather than trusting leaders blindly, believers must examine what the apostles actually taught. The finality of their teaching is clear and consistent.
The Acts of the Apostles—chapters 2, 8, 10, and 19, demonstrate one unified message. They clearly explain how to receive remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Ghost. Obedience to scripture brings freedom. Disobedience brings confusion.
Therefore, the call is simple: follow the scriptures as laid down for foundational teaching. Truth does not change. Leadership must align with what was established from the beginning.
