What’s Your Life Trying to Teach You About God?

Have You Ever Wondered What Your Life’s Struggles Might Be Revealing About God?

We’ve all asked this question usually in tears, confusion, or quiet moments of reflection.
Maybe you’re asking it now.

First, know this:  I’ve been there also.
So many people have. That question often comes up when life feels heavy or uncertain.

Right now, your life may be whispering truths about God.
But are you really listening?

The Problem: Life Feels Confusing Where’s God in All This?

Let’s be honest. Life doesn’t come with clear instructions.

You lose your job, and you wonder if God forgot you.
You struggle in your marriage, and it feels like your prayers hit the ceiling.
Even good moments like the birth of a child or an unexpected blessing can leave you wondering, “Why me? What does this mean?”

These moments can stir deep spiritual questions.
But instead of brushing them off, maybe they’re actually invitations.
Invitations to know God more deeply.

The Pattern: God Uses Real Life to Teach Real Truths

Think about this: Jesus taught using real life.
He talked about farmers, seeds, storms, lost coins, and broken people.
Why? Because God speaks through what we live.

When you feel overlooked, He’s teaching you that He sees you.
When you’re waiting, He may be teaching you patience and trust.
When something ends, He could be preparing a new beginning.

Just last year, I lost someone I love deeply.
Through that pain, I learned God is a comforter not just in theory, but in experience.
Each tear became a prayer. Each quiet moment a conversation with Him.

Real Story: When the Hardest Moment Taught Me the Deepest Truth

Let me tell you about Jamie. She was a single mom working two jobs.
She felt exhausted, unseen, and spiritually dry.

One day, her car broke down on the highway. She cried out, “God, do you even care?”
A stranger pulled over, offered help, paid for her tow, and even bought her groceries.
He wasn’t flashy just kind. Just present.

Jamie said later, “That day, I realized God didn’t forget me. He showed up when I least expected it.”

That breakdown became her breakthrough.
God used it to whisper, “I’ve got you.”

Reflection: Are You Paying Attention?

Every day, your life is speaking. But what’s it saying?

  • Is God showing you His love through someone’s kindness?

  • Is He teaching you patience through waiting?

  • Is He drawing you closer in your weakness?

You won’t always get a clear answer right away.
But if you look closely, you’ll find God’s fingerprints.
