You Are Known: Discovering Your New Life in the Lord Jesus Christ
Right now, you may feel overlooked, misunderstood, or even forgotten. Maybe people have labeled you by your mistakes. Maybe your past still whispers lies about who you are.
However, here’s the truth: you are not invisible, you are known.
As someone who has studied Scripture deeply and walked through seasons of doubt and restoration, I understand that identity struggles are real. Yet, through the Lord Jesus Christ, everything changes.
So today, we will uncover what it truly means to be known, accepted, and transformed. By the end, you will understand your identity, reclaim your worth, and walk confidently in your new life.
What Does It Mean to Have a New Life in Christ?
First, when you say “yes” to the Lord Jesus Christ, you step into a completely new life. This is not just a feeling, it is a spiritual reality.
Next, this new life means your past no longer defines you. Instead, your identity is now rooted in Him.
Then, consider this: the Lord Jesus Christ lived a perfect life, died for your sins, and rose again. Because of this, when you believe in Him, you are made new.
Finally, this transformation is not temporary. It is eternal, secure, and unshakable.
Example:
A man once struggled with guilt for years after making poor choices. Yet, when he surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ, he stopped introducing himself by his past failures. Instead, he began to say, “I am redeemed.” And slowly, his life began to reflect that truth.
Adopted Into an Eternal Family
Now, let’s go deeper. When you follow the Lord Jesus Christ, you are not just forgiven, you are adopted.
In other words, you become part of His eternal family.
Because of this, you gain full access to His presence, love, and authority. You are no longer an outsider. You belong.
Moreover, adoption means permanence. The Lord Jesus Christ does not change His mind about you.
Key Truth:
You did not earn this. You cannot lose this. You are chosen.
You Are Known, Fully and Completely
At this point, pause and reflect. The Creator of the universe knows your name.
He sees your struggles. He understands your thoughts. Yet, He still calls you His child.
Furthermore, being known by the Lord Jesus Christ means you are never alone. Even in silence, He is present.
Story Example:
A woman once felt completely invisible in a crowded room. Yet later, during prayer, she felt a deep peace. She realized that even if no one else noticed her, the Lord Jesus Christ always did. That truth changed her confidence and her life.
Your Old Identity Is Gone
Previously, you may have carried labels like “failure,” “broken,” or “not enough.”
However, in the Lord Jesus Christ, those labels no longer apply.
Instead, your new identity includes:
- Forgiven
- Loved
- Chosen
- Secure
Additionally, every mistake, every hurt, and every shame is erased through Him.
Solution to the Problem:
If you struggle with identity, start replacing old labels with truth daily. Speak what the Lord Jesus Christ says about you, not what your past says.
Nothing Can Separate You
Importantly, once you belong to the Lord Jesus Christ, nothing can separate you from His love.
Not your past.
Not your fears.
Not even your failures.
As a result, you can live with confidence and peace. You are secure forever.
