Have you ever received bad news that made your heart sink? Perhaps you lost a job. Maybe a loved one became sick. Or perhaps you prayed for an answer that never seemed to come. Whatever your struggle may be, one truth remains the same: life can be hard.

Yet, here is the good news. The Lord Jesus Christ is always dependable. He has never failed His people, and He will not begin with you.

As someone who has spent years studying and teaching the Scriptures, I have seen one truth repeated from Genesis to Revelation. People may disappoint us. Circumstances may change overnight. However, the Lord Jesus Christ remains faithful forever. Today, we will discover why you can trust Him even when everything else seems uncertain. We will also learn what it truly means to be righteous and how His grace gives us hope in every trial.

Trouble Is Part of Life

First, let us be honest. Every person experiences hardship.

Some struggles last only a few days. Others continue for years. Even faithful believers experience pain. Therefore, following the Lord Jesus Christ does not remove every problem. Instead, He walks with us through every problem.

King David understood this reality well. He spent much of his life running from enemies, hiding in caves, facing betrayal, and living under constant threats. Even so, he never stopped trusting the Lord.

He wrote:

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.”
Psalm 34:19 (KJV)

Notice something important. David did not say the righteous would avoid trouble. Instead, he promised that the Lord would deliver them from every trouble.

That promise still encourages believers today.

Who Are the Righteous?

At first, this verse may seem confusing.

After all, the Bible also says:

“There is none righteous, no, not one.”
Romans 3:10 (KJV)

So, how can both verses be true?

The answer changes everything.

Righteousness Is a Gift

Many people spend their lives trying to earn acceptance. They believe that if they become good enough, the Lord Jesus Christ will finally approve of them.

However, the Bible teaches something completely different.

We cannot earn righteousness.

Instead, righteousness is given through faith.

When we place our complete trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, His righteousness is credited to us. Therefore, we stand before Him, not because of our own goodness, but because of His perfect holiness.

That is grace.

Grace means receiving what we never deserved and could never earn.

Consequently, our confidence rests in the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

A Story of Dependable Faith

Imagine a young father who suddenly loses his job.

Bills begin to pile up. Fear enters his mind. His children need food. His mortgage payment is due. Every door appears to close.

At first, he panics.

Then he remembers Psalm 34:19.

Instead of giving up, he prays every morning. He continues searching for work. Members of his church unexpectedly bring groceries. A friend recommends him for a position he never knew existed. Weeks later, he receives a better job than the one he lost.

Did every problem disappear immediately?

No.

Did the Lord Jesus Christ abandon him?

Never.

Sometimes the greatest miracle is not instant rescue. Sometimes it is the peace and strength to keep moving until the answer arrives.

The Lord Jesus Christ works in countless ways. Often, we recognize His hand only after looking back.

• Corrects us when we begin walking in the wrong direction.
• Opens doors that no one else can open.
• Closes doors that would have harmed us.
• Gives wisdom when confusion fills our minds.
• Brings peace that surpasses understanding.
• Sends faithful friends to encourage us.
• Gives us strength to keep going.
• Uses every trial to shape our character.

As a result, every hardship becomes another opportunity to experience His faithfulness.

Grace Changes Everything

Many people believe they must become perfect before coming to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Thankfully, that is not how grace works.

Grace welcomes broken people.

Grace restores weary people.

Grace forgives sinful people.

Grace transforms ordinary people.

Therefore, whenever you feel unworthy, remember that the Lord Jesus Christ already knows every weakness you have. Yet, He still invites you to trust Him completely.

That invitation never expires.

Depend on the Lord Jesus Christ Every Day

We often depend on our jobs.

We depend on our savings.

We depend on our health.

We depend on our plans.

However, every one of those things can change overnight.

The Lord Jesus Christ never changes.

His love never runs out.

His mercy never ends.

His promises never fail.

His power never weakens.

His presence never leaves those who trust Him.

That is why He remains always dependable.

What Should You Do When Trouble Comes?

Instead of allowing fear to control your thoughts, choose these biblical responses:

Pray before you panic.

Read the Word before believing your fears.

Trust His promises instead of your emotions.

Thank Him before you see the answer.

Keep obeying Him one day at a time.

Small acts of faith often produce life-changing results.

Your Greatest Need Is Never a Burden

Sometimes people wonder if they ask too much of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The answer is no.

His love never grows tired.

His mercy never runs dry.

His resources never run out.

His compassion never ends.

Therefore, continue bringing every concern to Him.

He welcomes your prayers.

He hears every cry.

He knows every tear.

He remains faithful through every season.

Final Thoughts: He Will Never Leave You

Life will continue to bring unexpected challenges.

Nevertheless, your future is not determined by your circumstances.

Instead, your hope rests in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Because His righteousness has been given to those who believe, we can stand confidently even when storms surround us.

So, if today feels overwhelming, remember David’s promise.

“The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.”

That promise has never failed.

Neither will the One who made it.

Choose today to trust the Lord Jesus Christ completely. He has always been dependable. He is dependable today. And He will remain dependable forever.
